Hotel “Sunce” (Sun) is a calm and intimate place located at the Adriatic Sea in Makarska Riviera, near Split. With the mountains sweeping up behind, and olive groves all around, it's the ideal place to immerse yourself in one of our retreats, whether to deepen your practice or try something new.
Walking inland from the Resort, you are quickly alone in a heady swirl of wild rosemary, lavender and blackberry bushes, the winding path stumbling suddenly on overgrown castle ruins, or pensive shepherds. You can guarantee swimming and diving in beautiful crystal clear warm waters at the hundreds of secluded beaches that are to be found along the whole coast, wherever you go.
Most of the courses take place on the roof terrace with its panoramic views, or on the natural stone platform by the Sea, and you can always find a quiet corner to meditate, read or doze in the afternoon sun.
We eat around the table on the veranda. The food we offer varies with the courses, but is usually a vegetarian blend of Mediterranean, and traditional Croatian home cooking. Our homemade dishes are legendary and we always use fresh local ingredients; seasonal fruits and vegetables, local fish and meat, fresh cheese and yogurts, and excellent olives.
Acommodations: This is shared housing with two persons per room. There two twin size beds in each room. Most of the rooms have balconies with ocean views. Each has a mini fridge/bar, air conditioning, TV. Wifi is free of charge, available at the front desk and the hotel balcony. Private room is available upon request at extra cost (please contact Bianca for details).
